    Here's the real counter, and it's a concession: last round you took 8 and I took 1. Today we reverse the direction but not the size: 6 me, 3 you. You still walk with 3, three times what you left me. Your "mutual assured nothing" argument applies to you exactly as much as to me, so it isn't leverage. It only tells us that whoever locks a clearing number first sets the split. Take 3 and your round is -2 instead of -5.
